FAQs

Welcome!  Orders are currently made and shipped in 3-5 business days.

You made a certain mask for me years ago, can you make another?

If I have the fabric I can.  If you don't see the same mask style here on the website please send me a message and ask, not all if my fabrics are shown.

How can I leave a review?

Use the links to the products that you ordered from your order confirmation email, or by searching the site to navigate to the page of the product that you wish to review.  Then scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see the space to leave a review.  You do not need to be logged in and no personal information is required.

Do you ship to Australia?

I'm so sorry but right now (November 2021) the USPS isn't delivering to Australia.  When I learn this changes I will once again enable shipping to Australia at checkout.

How do I wash my sleep mask?

Hand-washing and then air drying is reccomended as the safest way to keep your sleep mask looking newest, longest.  Many masks (not silk ones) could possibly be machine washed without injury, but may shrink or wrinkle some, especially with heat.  Silk masks should always be hand-washed.

What size should I get my 5-year-old? or my 10-year old?

One of the most common questions about eye masks is kids' sizing!  The answer is: when in doubt, size up.  A mask a little too large is still useful, but too tight is unwearable.  An adjustable strap is an option for almost all masks and a good idea when you want to be sure the mask will be useful for a long time.  Most 4 and 5 year old would fit fine in a 6-11 year mask. Conversely, while an 8-year-old may enjoy his 6-11 mask for a couple years as the elastic stretches out over time, a 10 or 11-year-old would likely be best with an adult size mask.

I'm an adult with a smaller face, should I get the child size sleep mask?

If you are asking, that likely means you would prefer a mask on the smaller side, rather than a little too big, so yes, get the child 6-11 years size and consider picking the adjustable strap too, if your mask doesn't already come with it, if you think the strap will be too short.

Will I feel the adjustable strap bump on the back of my head if I pick a sleep mask with it?

It's doubtful that anyone could actually feel the bump.  It's fairly flat, about 1/8 of an inch, and the hardware is very smooth and lightweight.  A person with hair who sleeps on a pillow would likely have enough cushioning to not notice the bump.  But perhaps someone without hair or very short hair might be bothered by it.  If you think you will feel it, then the adjustable strap might not be a good option for you.

It looks like a certain mask is sold out, or I am looking for a certain pattern, is it available?

If there is enough fabric left, it's possible.  Feel free to send a message and ask.

How long does it take to make and ship orders?

What do I do if I ordered the wrong size sleep mask?

For a mask that feels too loose, find a needle and thread.  Pinch the extra elastic and make a couple stitches to hold it in place.  It's so easy to do.  This works too with elastic that has stretched out over time.  Putting your freshly washed mask in a hot dryer will likely make it smaller too.  If a mask is too loose, you may have luck wetting the strap and putting the mask around something larger than your head until the elastic dries.  Elastic naturally stretches out over time, you could help it by repeatedly stretching the elastic and see if it feels bigger.  You can also buy just an adjustable strap and stitch it on yourself.  Or...consider that you have learned a lesson, give your mask to a friend with a smaller head and order a larger size, or one with an adjustable strap.
